Italian 322: Introduction to Italian Literature II

Italian 322, Introduction to Italian Literature II is a 3-credit course intended to provide a chronological survey of Italian literature from the seventeenth centure to the present. The course, which is a continuation of Italian 321, will explore early modern and contemporary Italian literature through the close reading of narrative, poetry and theatre. Lectures and class discussion will be conducted in Italian and will focus on the various texts within a cultural and historical context. The course is open to freshmen and counts toward the Italian major.

Prerequisite: Italian 204 or consent of instructor.
