Italian 312, Advanced Composition & Conversation is a 3-credit course conducted in Italian that develops composition skills related to expository and other forms of writing, with focus on grammatical skills, conventions, rhetorical techniques for organizing information, presenting coherent arguments, and appropriateness of language to topic. Sustantial work on the development of writing strategies for composing and editing through several short papers and a final long paper. Readings include a novel and several short stories. It counts towards the Italian major.
Prerequisite: Italian 311 or consent of the instructor.
