Enroll in the appropriate Italian language course!
Nothing compares to face-to-face learning and to personal attention our students get in Italian classrooms at UW-Madison.
UW-Madison’s Italian instructors are dedicated and experienced, and have a profound knowledge of the Italian language and culture.
UW-Madison’s Italian program is student-centered. It offers small classes where fundamentals of the Italian language and culture are sifted through day by day. From our beginners courses (IT101, IT102, or IT201 for speakers of other Romance languages) to intermediate (IT203 and IT204), to advanced composition and conversation (IT311, IT312), to intermediate culture courses (IT230), to literature, culture, cinema courses at 400-600 levels, there is no ground uncovered by some of the world’s leading scholars of Italian.
