Amir Issaa (Egyptian-Italian Hip-hop Artist, Writer, Educator) visits UW-Madison

Amir Issaa (Egyptian-Italian Hip-hop Artist, Writer, Educator) was on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on Monday March 3rd, 2025 during his “Potere alle Parole-Vivo per Questo / Power to the Words-This is What I Live For” US Tour 2025 (the tour includes also lectures, workshops and concerts at Berkeley, Stanford, the Italian Cultural Institute in San Francisco, University of Illinois-Chicago, Stony Brook University, NYU and other institutions).

At UW-Madison Amir Issaa held a public talk (in English) entitled “Power to the Words: A Conversation with Amir Issaa” (with Prof. Grazia Menechella), writing workshops for students enrolled in Italian 102 and Italian 203, and a presentation/conversation (in Italian) entitled “Vivo per Questo: Potere alle Parole” open to upper level Italian undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty. Thank you, Amir Issaa, for these engaging events benefitting our undergraduate and graduate students, staff, faculty, and the general audience from the UW-Madison campus and the city of Madison.
