Ritt Deitz commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel

Last month, French Teaching Faculty and Kentucky native Ritt Deitz was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear. Founded in 1813, the commission is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, recognizing noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to community, state, and nation. Other more notable Kentucky Colonels include Muhammad Ali, Lily Tomlin and Harlan Sanders.
