Italian 182: Second Semester Italian Honors

This 4-credit course is designed for students who have taken Italian 181 or 101. In most cases, the honors section has the same syllabus and the same program as Italian 102 (for your reference, see description of 102). Students in Honors Italian benefit from a smaller class size and will be able to do many fun activities (corresponding with students in Italy and/or students of Italian; listening to songs; watching movie snippets; creating a video or writing a journal in Italian).  This course will continue to expose you to the Italian language and culture though a variety of interactive activities and assignments. At the end of the semester you will have a good competency in Italian to communicate in selected situations and about topics covered in class. You will also develop an appreciation of cultural similarities and differences between the US and Italy. Selected non-honors students may get department permission to enroll. Benvenuti! (Welcome!)  The class will be conducted in Italian.  Students may not receive credit for both 102 & 182.  Open to Fr.
