Italian 301: Italian for Reading Knowledge

This course provides an overview of Italian grammar with numerous readings to build vocabulary. Geared towards graduate students who wish to acquire a reading knowledge of Italian.  Intensive grammar; readings from appropriate texts in the humanities, sciences and social sciences. At the end of the course students should be able to read at an advanced level of proficiency. Gives no language credit.  Course does not count toward the Italian major.  Prerequisite:  Sophomore Standing.
