AZOUZ BEGAG TO SPEAK AT THE FRENCH HOUSE

Azouz Begag, a writer, former minister, and a researcher at CNRS will be speaking at the French House (633 N. Frances Street, Madison WI) on Wednesday, March 13 2019 from 4:30 PM-5:30 PM. Monsieur Begag’s talk is entitled “Peurs, replis, et haines en France et en Europe. Au secours Martin Luther King!” The talk will be held in French. This event is made possible by the support of the Department of French and Italian and the Center for Interdisciplinary French Studies.

To open the event, Alberta Lai, the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago, will be providing welcoming remarks. The UW Cineteca Italiana is a graduate student initiative that showcases a variety of classic & contemporary Italian films for students and the community.
